Summer has arrived, and after a brutal cooped-up spring and months of sheltering in place, some of us really need a vacation.
By now, we all know the drill – socially distance, wash your hands as often as possible, outside is better than inside, and less populated areas may be safer than denser areas.
But how can you stick to these guidelines and still go on an enjoyable and relaxing summer vacation?
I’m glad you asked!
Stay in a Sweet Inn

A Sweet Inn vacation apartment is the perfect place to experience new things and create lasting memories. Cook locally sourced food in the fully equipped spotless kitchen, explore the local outdoors and enjoy a much-needed change of scenery.
What about the cleanliness?
As you may know, Sweet Inn rolled out strict cleaning protocols to ensure the safety of both our guests and our staff — be sure to read up on our health and cleanliness program, Stay Safe. Examples of our new policy include a strict cleaning and disinfecting protocol to clean the entire apartment after guests depart and before the next guest arrives.
In a hotel, there are so many surfaces and elevator buttons and people coming in and out of their rooms that keeping everything disinfected and clean is that much harder. When you stay in your own space, you are self-contained, in much the same way that you are when you are home.
Social distancing

Sweet Inn has already mastered the art of contactless stay. Even before the virus, a guest could arrive and check-in at a Sweet Inn property via the app without ever seeing another person. You can choose to stay in a Sweet Inn in an isolated area of the country, ensuring the safety of your group of travelers. The risks are drastically smaller compared to a hotel in regard to contact with others.
The biggest issue with staying at a hotel versus a vacation apartment is the proximity to other people. Hotels require an in-person check-in. Even if there is an option for a contactless check-in, there are so many other people staying in the same hotel. Wearing a mask can help defer the spread of the virus, but we have to rely on the fact that every guest will be wearing one – correctly. There are too many factors at play in a hotel setting to completely reduce the risk of potential contact.
Self-sufficiency

Every Sweet Inn comes with a fully equipped kitchen and full amenities including a washing machine and toiletries. If you want to order in, you can do that too. Our virtual guest service will be happy to recommend the best local takeouts. This gives you the ability to be completely self-sufficient, similarly to how you live in the comfort of your own home.
How long could you stay in just a hotel room? With the hotel’s lack of amenities, I am assuming not very long at all. Pair that with the cost of room service, and it is clear how difficult it will be to live self sufficiently in a hotel room (anyone with young kids can attest to just how messy it gets in a small hotel room when you have to make a meal for a young kid who can’t wait for the hotel mealtimes).
You can even work from home

All of our vacation rentals come with high-speed WiFi and a table or desk to sit at. The challenging times that we are in at the moment mean that many of us are now working from home most, if not all, of the time. When you stay in one of our vacation home rentals, you can take your work on the road if you need to check-in periodically, or, if you feel like a change of pace, you can move your home office to a Sweet Inn!
Sometimes you just need to hit the road, to escape for a while – Sweet Inn is the only way to stay!
